Small Steps
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

| | When you make your health take a back seat to everything else in your life, there will come a time when it takes the driver's seat, whether it's a good time for you or not. Six years ago, I think my health was so far down on my priority list that it was in the cargo hold of a 12-passenger van. Then I moved my health (and happiness) up the priority list and put it in the front passenger seat. I started choosing healthier foods, being more active, and taking time to rest, rejuvenate and enjoy life more. But every once in awhile I push my health back down my priority list and put my healthy habits in the back seat again. This time I kept it there too long and refused to address the hints my body gave me. Those hints turned in to demands and then, last weekend, my health grabbed the wheel and I crashed with a bad sinus infection. It reminded me that if I ignore the small concerns and put off preventive maintenance, I pay a much bigger cost for repairs.
Which seat will your health take this week? This edition was deferred since my health took the driver's seat for awhile and my Dhucking Your Responsibility presentation was a priority on Friday. Click here to learn how to Dhuck Your Responsibilities.
