Small Steps

A journey of a thousand miles begins with
a single step.

Try This:

Do you want to be healthier, stronger or happier?  Envision what you would do and how you would be as your healthier, stronger, happier self; then start where you are to live that future you today.

Would the future you...
  • eat more vegetables at every meal? ... then start by eating one more vegetable today.
  • drink water in place of soft drinks (regular and diet)? ... then drink one more glass of water today or buy a water bottle to take with you (or actually take the one you bought last year).
  • be more active? ...then take 100 or even 1000 more steps today, or invite a friend or business acquaintance to the park instead of the coffee house this week.
  • have time to revel in your favorite activity or hobby? ... then find ten minutes today or one evening this week to enjoy something you really want to do.

Can you start to live your future this week?
How'd it go?

Did you make time for you a priority last week?

My Journey:
Shawndra's AFTER
I've lost weight twice before but I gained it back eventually.  This time I'm determined to keep it off and I realize that it's not a one time fix.  It's a journey.  And as with all great journeys, you learn as you go.

I take these small steps with you each week because I also need to build and maintain the habits and behaviors that support me in my journey.  Thanks for joining me each week.  Have fun and enjoy your life!
