Small Steps
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Because I enjoy setting new goals, establishing new habits and focusing on new personal growth opportunities (challenges), sometimes I forget that maintaining where I currently am is an important part of change and growth. Maintaining may be an even bigger challenge for me since there is no longer the excitement and focused energy of losing weight, training for a race, moving to the next level of expertise or learning something new.
And I'm not just talking about maintaining my weight, but all the other habits, behaviors and interests that go along with being healthy and happy: walks, yoga, work, journaling, gardening, writing, reading, connecting with people, relaxing and doing nothing (just being).
We cannot be in constant motion, continually striving, so I've set my intention for this week - and the next several weeks - that before I add one more new thing to my schedule or life that I either maintain what I have now or let go of something else.
What will you maintain this week?

What other ways did you assess your health last week? Last week's question should have read ASSESS rather than access your health. It is always good to access your health but I meant to suggest that you find other ways to assess your progress and success.
