Small Steps

A journey of a thousand miles begins with
a single step.

Try This:

I'm back to measuring my food again.  Not sure why I stopped, but I did and it really doesn't matter why.  What's important is that I'm measuring my portions once again.  I need to measure my food since I'm susceptible to portion creep.  My portions start out reasonable, but get larger and larger over time if I don't measure. So now I know how much I'm really eating.  Again.

I don't measure everything.  Fruits and vegetables have never been an issue.  It's the rice, pasta and meat (and dessert) that are the portion challenge for me.

What foods will you measure this week?
How'd it go?

Did you get more sleep last week?

Plan well before you take the journey.  Remember the carpenter's rule:  Measure twice, cut once.

My Journey:
Shawndra's AFTER
I've lost weight twice before but I gained it back eventually.  This time I'm determined to keep it off and I realize that it's not a one time fix.  It's a journey.  And as with all great journeys, you learn as you go.

I take these small steps with you each week because I also need to build and maintain the habits and behaviors that support me in my journey.  Thanks for joining me each week.  Have fun and enjoy your life!
