Small Steps

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Try This:

While training for a sprint triathalon several years ago, I learned about the cycle of increasing intensity and distance each week for three weeks, then backing off with lighter and easier training in the fourth week.  This allows the body (and the mind) to rest and recover.  I would come back stronger each time.  We all need a break, regardless of what we're training for.  So I'm taking it easy this week, enjoying my family and my life so that I can start the new year refreshed and energized.

Will you rest this week?
How'd it go?

What physical activity plan did you have for last week?

My Journey:
Shawndra's AFTER
I've lost weight twice before but I gained it back eventually.  This time I'm determined to keep it off and I realize that it's not a one time fix.  It's a journey.  And as with all great journeys, you learn as you go.

I take these small steps with you each week because I also need to build and maintain the habits and behaviors that support me in my journey.  Thanks for joining me each week.  Have fun and enjoy your life!
