Try This: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I love the New Year. For me, it's a new beginning, a fresh start, a clean slate and a new resolution. This year's resolution is BALANCE. Living my life in balance.
Balance means working some, playing some, laughing some, crying some (then laughing some more) and finding the joy in all of it. It also means moving more, relaxing more, enjoying more and doing a lot less busywork.
What will you do to live more in balance this week?

As a way to thank all of you for accompanying me on this journey and to wish you a Happy New Year, I have bought a flock of ducks
through Heifer International. When I picked Heifer International for
my gifts this year, I thought it was going to be difficult deciding
which gift to give. I liked the idea of a llama or a water buffalo,
but there were also honey bees, trees or a knitting basket. But when I
saw that I could buy a flock of ducks, the decision was made.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
One of the reasons I write this newsletter is because I've been given
the gift of support by family, friends, Weight Watchers and numerous
books, articles and web sites in order to lose weight and make
healthier choices. This newsletter is one way I pass on the gift I've
been given. Thank you for being a part of the journey.
Heifer International helps build sustainable communities and their
mission is to end world hunger and poverty and care for the earth. I love the idea that the recipients of a cow, a goat
or other gift is required to pass on the gift by sharing the offspring of the
gift animals.

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.
