Small Steps

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Try This:

My knee is better and though I still have some limitations, if I take it easy I can take the dog for a short walk.  I know it will take some time and effort to get back to full strength and flexibility, but it's not just about being physically capable.   These last two weeks have  thrown off my whole routine and I'm finding it a challenge to get back into it.

But I remind myself that success isn't measured by how quickly I'm back to full speed but rather the fact that I'm still trying.   In the past, it was so easy to toss away all the good habits & choices because one thing went wrong.  But I've learned that 'life happens' so I'll keep doing what I can do.

What can you do this week?
How'd it go?

Did you try another way to exercise last week?

My Journey:
Shawndra's AFTER
I've lost weight twice before but I gained it back eventually.  This time I'm determined to keep it off and I realize that it's not a one time fix.  It's a journey.  And as with all great journeys, you learn as you go.

I take these small steps with you each week because I also need to build and maintain the habits and behaviors that support me in my journey.  Thanks for joining me each week.  Have fun and enjoy your life!
