Small Steps

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Try This:

Internet surfing can get you in trouble.  I started out by searching for articles on how many calories fidgeting burned and ended up joining America on the Move, Steps to a Healthier Way of Life and accepting the challenge to walk their virtual China Silk Road in 6 weeks.  They have other trails to cross and other activities to get you there.  You could dance the Oregon trail or garden your way through the Iditarod, and lots of other choices.

So I've committed to them (and to you) to get an average of 4,310 steps (or  equivalent) each day.  I'm pulling out my step counter and clipping it on.  Each step I take will lead me over the virtual China Silk Road and of course to a healthier, more active life.

Where will your steps lead this week ?
How'd it go?

Did you eat a rainbow last week?

The vision must be followed by the venture.  It is not enough to stare up the steps -- we must step up the stairs

My Journey:
Shawndra's AFTER
I've lost weight twice before but I gained it back eventually.  This time I'm determined to keep it off and I realize that it's not a one time fix.  It's a journey.  And as with all great journeys, you learn as you go.

I take these small steps with you each week because I also need to build and maintain the habits and behaviors that support me in my journey.  Thanks for joining me each week.  Have fun and enjoy your life!
