Women's Fund in The Buffalo News |
Last month, Buffalo was recognized with quite an honor - Forbes magazine declared the Buffalo Niagara region as the best place in all of America for working moms. While this is a great achievement, the Women's Fund has been working towards educating and making our community aware of the work that still needs to be done. Heather Filipowicz placed an op-ed in response to the article highlighting the facts around working women, especially those living in poverty. While we should celebrate balance for many working mothers, there are still other stories that aren't being told.

Gillibrand is issuing a call to action for all women across the state to mentor other women, support one another and mobilize action for pay equity, affordable childcare, workplace flexibility and more women in higher profile jobs. The WNY Women's Fund applauds her efforts and is working to ensure these issues stay in the forefront in WNY.
