New on iGrants: the 2011-12 Perkins 5-Year Application Plan

All district information from prior year submissions are pre-populated in the 2011-12 application.

Though the grant was released yesterday, the SAS timeline required for all federal formula grants still apply. The delay in releasing the application was due to the late budget release from the federal government to states. Please see the attached SAS Timeline for the 2011-12 school year.

The first deadline,  June 1, 2011, (come and gone) is the district deadline to submit substantially approvable status (SAS) requests to ensure notification by July 1, 2011. (This applies to all programs exceptfor Special Education.)  However, we will continue to review applications as they are submitted to OSPI for SAS approval.

Throughout June, districts are notified of substantially approved status.

July 1, 2011, is the last day for districts to submit a substantially approved status request for a July 1, 2011, spending start date. Applications for a single, consolidated Special Education form package are due in order to receive a July 1, 2011, spending start date.
