Scholarships from the Washington State Association for Justice

Washington State Association for JusticeThe Washington State Association for Justice offers two different scholarship programs for high school seniors headed to college. Each program generally awards two $2,000 scholarships to recipients.

The deadline for applications is March 18, 2011.

The American Justice Essay Scholarship, established in 2000, is a statewide student essay scholarship program. Each year a new essay topic is chosen, based on WSAJ's mission statement ideals and dealing with advocacy in the American justice system, and related issues. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on excellence in writing and eloquence in addressing the essay topic.

The WSAJ Presidents' Scholarship
, first awarded in 1991, was established to support and encourage the efforts of high school students who have overcome obstacles to achieve academically and socially. Past recipients have included cancer survivors, auto accident victims and teenagers with physical challenges. Competition for the scholarship has increased each year.

If you have questions about either scholarship program, please contact Adrianne Williams.
