February 2011 Newsletter

 

Whew!....January is ovah!  Always a shock after the crowded party atmosphere at the shop in December!  We spend January thinking about what lines we might like to bring into the shop.  We have found some great new lines that will be showing up over the next few months, so stay tuned!

February...Valentine's , right?  Men, if you love someone who loves Summer House Design come in and get them a Gift Certificate!  Then they can come in, glance at the jewelry and then buy something like a "Winestein" from Fred and Friends!  Women, you too can find that special something for your man!  It's a love fest at Summer House Design ;-).  By the way guys and gals, we definitely do have some great jewelry and watches for that special someone.

We will open at our usual time, 10:30, Wednesday through Monday in February, Tuesdays we will open at 12 noon.  We will be closed for maintenance on February

23rd.

This month we are having a special sale on vintage goods.  All vintage items- lamps, wall art, vases, glassware, tchotchkes- are 15% off through February 28th!  We have so much fun collecting these treasures and we wanted to share our treasure hunt with you!

  4-Spot Tumblers

Glenn continues to blow glass and some of it finds its way into the shop.  We try to have on hand a supply of the popular 4-spot tumblers in a variety of colors. These are a great size for juice in the morning or something stronger later in the day.  They are made of borosilicate glass which is what lab glass is made of.  We put ours through the dishwasher with no problems. You can also see Glenn's work at Vetri International Glass in Seattle, and at Artisan's on Taylor here in Port Townsend.

 

 

 

PARIS FOUNDOur friend Gwen Evans, who makes the wonderful clothing with the "Paris Found" label, is moving her clothing line to Artisan's on Taylor.  Artisan's is a great gallery owned by our friend Anna Nasset-Glenn.  Gwen will have her opening at Artisan's on Taylor in April.  We are excited for both Gwen and Anna!  We will still carry Gwen's accessories, hats, scarves, and now the amazing "scollars".  Come in and check these out!  We will also be the happy recipients of some of Gwen's Paris "finds" which we will share with you!  


espeWe just got in a new shipment of Espe Handbags....so cool!  All sorts of colors and styles.  This is a line that is affordable and looks great.
