 SOME NEW LOOKS
Sometimes a good conversation over a glass of wine leads to some great ideas. In August I sat down with Gwen Evans of the "Paris Found" clothing line and had such a conversation. Our chat turned to talk of color and design, and out of it came the germ of an idea for a new collection of clothing by Gwen. We talked about color, and how much we loved working with it, and from that we thought of a new "color story" to use on a new line. Next we talked about what women like to wear, with an emphasis on comfort, style, and wearablility. Next thing I knew, Gwen had hand dyed linen in wonderful colors to make poet shirts, and when she returned from Paris (check out Paris Found tours!) she'd brought home wonderful tweeds and boucles for multiple styles of jackets. Then there was the barkcloth! Wonderful pieces that worked perfectly with the color story we had created! It all came together like it was meant to be! You can see the fruits of our conversation on Saturday November 6th at Summer House Design, 930 Water St. in Port Townsend We think you will find this collection to be cohesive, wearable and smart. Many of the new pieces can be put together for a really versatile wardrobe. Plus we will have some treats during Gallery walk to celebrate.

MARUCA BAGS
We are pleased to announce we are carrying the Maruca Handbag line out of Colorado. These jacquard handbags are as the designer/owners say, "under our wings, close to heart", meaning the designers stay close to the product all the way to our shop. The fabric is woven in the US, and the bags are handmade in Colorado. This insures great quality, and good business citizenship!

Every so often Beautiful Plastic (nee Kidrobot) comes out with a new series of an old favorite. Yes, we now have Smorkin Labbit series 4 in the shop. Come in and watch our attempts to explain these little friends to the uninitiated. For those in the know come and see if you get the pick of the litter of these blind box labbits!
