GMR is an annual, international event, which brings together experts and decision-makers from industry, academia and policy-making agencies. The conference provides an opportunity to build and support sustainable international networks of researchers and practitioners working in the mobile communications and wireless data industry.  It also aims to enable the exchange of knowledge about best practices in this industry and facilitate communication and collaboration among global players.

Told with heartfelt humor by writer-director Cherien Dabis in her feature film debut, Amreeka is a universal journey into the lives of a Palestinian family of immigrants and first-generation teenagers caught between their heritage and the new world in which they now live and the bittersweet search for a place to call home.

The Digital Assets Repository (DAR) is a system developed at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Library of Alexandria, to create and maintain library's digital collections. DAR acts as a repository for all types of digital material, thus preserving and archiving the digital media as well as, providing public access to digitized collections through a web-based search and browsing facilities.

El Naqib's Daughter by Samia Serageldin
 
book-naqibBorn and raised in Egypt and educated at London University, Samia Serageldin immigrated to the United States in the eighties. She is the author of two novels, The Cairo House, about growing up in a political family in Nasser's Egypt, and The Naqib's Daughter, about Bonaparte's occupation of Egypt in 1798. A collection of short stories, Love is Like Water, is to appear in September 2009.
