Pacific Hospital PDA Announces:
$150,000 Grant for Project Access Northwest in 2012
SEATTLE, February 27, 2012 -- The Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority (Pacific Hospital PDA) has announced a grant for $150,000 awarded to Project Access Northwest (formerly King County Project Access) for 2012.
The Pacific Hospital PDA was a founding funder of Project Access Northwest in 2006 with a grant of $50,000. In the past seven years, the Pacific Hospital PDA has provided $865,000 to support Project Access specialty care case management. Due to the support of the Pacific Hospital PDA and others, nearly 4,500 patients were referred to Project Access in 2011. More than 1,000 providers currently volunteer with the agency to provide specialty care for uninsured and underinsured patients in King and Snohomish counties. The Pacific Hospital PDA has supported a number of innovative programs throughout its 30-year history. Many of the programs have become a critical component of the King County safety net and continue to operate today. "We're proud of the Pacific Hospital PDA's role in helping to launch programs like Project Access," said Rosemary Aragon, Executive Director of the Pacific Hospital PDA. "We're delighted that Project Access continues to grow and expand to meet the increased needs of the uninsured and underinsured in our community." |
