Update on B.O.B. winter bob

B.O.B. is the first sculpture in the "Birds on Broadway" public art sculpture project funded by the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission and coordinated by PAC.  While B.O.B. waits for final installation guidelines from the City of Redwood City, he is livening up the downtown Gallery Annex window and appears in seasonal dress.  See pic. He'll soon be celebrating Chinese New Year, so look for his new themed environment this week!  Envisioned by PAC, B.O.B. is part of a planned public art walk designed to encourage visitors and residents to find all six bird sculptures as they venture through the heart of downtown RWC.

Remembering Local Journalist, Marion Softky

Marion Softky was a local journalist who wrote about San Mateo County.  She was passionate about preserving open space in the county and wrote many articles on local artists. Read more about her life or rediscover an article she wrote about Djerassi Resident Artist Program in 1987. Marian will be missed.
