PAC Workshop and Outreach

PAC held a special workshop for artists, August 11, 2011, at Twin Pines Art Center. Guest speaker, Gwenda Joyce, Art Ambassador, provided a number of take-aways designed to inspire artists to get their art out of their studios and onto gallery walls. Top Three Tips:

  1. Focus on what you what to say with your art
  2. Consider creating a series of work or work that is all the same size
  3. Be prepared to talk about your art- have that bio or elevator speech ready
All these are great first steps to professionalize your artistic process and get your art viewed and sold.  Jump start your art career and sign up to receive a Gwenda's free Art Ambassador Support package or get let PAC help you establish your art's presence on the web.  Sign up for the PAC Artist Registry to get your art seen 24/7.

Mohsen Janatpour Exhibit Celebrates Ballet Anniversary

City Arts of San Mateo partnered with Peninsula Ballet Theatre (PBT) to curate a gallery within the ballet's regional arts center facility at 1880 S. Grant St. in San Mateo. The first exhibit celebrates the ballet's first anniversary in the new location.

The City Arts Gallery exhibit features approximately 30 paintings by Mohsen Janatpour, a professor in the Math/Science Division at College of San Mateo. His artistic vision is multi-dimensional, incorporating the element of time, something central to other art forms such as music or dance.

Janatpour's works can be viewed at the Peninsula Ballet Theatre through September.

City Arts of San Mateo is an independent nonprofit that creates, celebrates and encourages the arts in the city of San Mateo.
