Q: Tom, How can I speed up my computer?
A: There is no specific, user friendly, way to "speed up" your computer but there are some tune-ups you can do to optimize your computers performance.
You could clean up your files and do a disk defragmentation (Don't be scared with the big words... it is a simple process).
Windows Vista Instructions:
First, click on the bottom left "Windows Vista Start" icon. Then click on "All Programs", look for the "Accessories" folder and double click.
Double click on "System Tools", then double click on "Disk Clean Up".
Once the scan is complete, you may delete all the files suggested.
When that process is complete, repeat the steps above and under "System Tools" look for the "Disk Defragmenter" icon. Select this and click on "Defragment Now". This may take several hours, so be patient. Once complete reboot your computer and enjoy a "refreshed and renewed" computer.
Q: How do I know if my box is working?
A: Almost always, if the following error message appears "Check PC Parallel Port" upon opening your L.I.F.E. System, then there is an issue with your USB drivers and your device is not working, because the USB drivers are not correctly installed or your box is not attached to your computer following software installation. If you have downloaded the latest software version, these drivers should be automatically installed as soon as you plug your L.I.F.E. System into your computer. As a word of caution, when installing new software, make sure your L.I.F.E. box is NOT plugged into your computer. Only after you have installed your software and restarted your computer you may you plug your L.I.F.E. box into the computer. This should begin to automatically install your drivers for the L.I.F.E. hardware.
The latest software can be downloaded at the following address:

PLEASE NOTE: If you are using software that is more than 1 year old you may lose your existing client files. In this case we suggest you wait for our next software upgrade as we anticipate a fix for this.
