It's Karissa here again with an update on our HOH in India!
In February, six people went to India on a mission trip, including team leader and HOH Director Brian Thomson.
The team came home changed!
Here are some pictures and a few stories from their trip
that may increase your desire to go!

The team gave LOTS of gifts out to the staff and children.
"Handing out presents was definitely a highlight for me - I could do that for the rest of my life! Teaching the boys the songs 'This
Little Light of Mine' and 'Jesus Loves Me' was also very fun." ~Cindy (Edmonton, AB) The team had daily devotions with the boys
and
helped with daily training.
"When
we asked the boys why they
gave their lives to Jesus and why they pray, it was great hearing them
say 'when I pray, God gives to me'. They are so thankful even when they
have so

The Home of Hope is truly an oasis in the middle of a very desperate village. The team did a lot to help in the village, and invited them to many special activities.
  Thank you to the sponsors who provided money for 12 bicycles for the boys! They were so excited! John
(Camrose, AB) taught Peter (the gardener) how to fix the bikes and keep them maintained.
 It is a 15 minute drive to a nearby beach, to which none of the boys had ever been before! So Brian, Larry and John (Camrose, AB) took them, and they loved splashing around in the waves!!
  John also taught some of the older boys how to paint. They repainted the outside of their dormitory (left-primer coat, right-finished).

To provide more nutritious
meals for the boys at HOH, we have developed an area to plant trees and a garden!
Here are a few of the boys helping plant some trees! How exciting for them!

Here is a picture of the official
opening of the brand new Word of Life church in New Edayou which is a nearby village. We will soon start
to care for children in this area and are very excited about moving
forward and reaching people for Jesus.

James 1:27 says "Pure religion in the sight of God is to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction..."
