 Greetings! 

 

Welcome new subscribers to the August edition of the Wonders of Walking e-mail newsletter: WalkQuest. This email publication provides you with the newest information, articles, offers tips to enhance your fitness / walking experience, answers your questions and lets you know about services, products, and resources available. We want to hear from you! 

 

What glorious weather we are experiencing in the Pacific Northwest. Our summer months have more a feel of spring, which makes for great walking and other outdoor activities.

For many, August is the month for Relays: Cascade Lakes 8/3 - 4; Portland to Coast, and Hood to Coast 8/24 - 25.  

 It appears we may have our first summer days upcoming. Remember to stay hydrated, wear sun glasses, sunscreen, and listen to your body by not pushing too hard.      

 

As we move through summer with Labor Day fast approaching, WOW is offering several programs. Check out the website and share with your friends. 5K, 10K, Half Marathon Training is starting end of September; stay tuned for Walking for Runners beginning in October. We will be moving indoors in October for indoor Fall Fitness beginning October 14th.  

 

Best of luck to all participants whether walking, running or volunteering this weekend!
