Surfs Up at Barber's Point
Quicksilver and HIC surf crews will be out at Barber's Point on July 18th to help BGCH kids perfect their surfing skills at an exclusive surf clinic from 8:45 am - 1:30 pm. | Taking the Teens to the Theater
Alliance members Chris Akin and Forest Frizzel are taking the teens to watch the world premier of Miso, a play about a farming family in 1930's Japan when the country was going into an illegal war with China and wielding it's new-felt power on July 30th at TAG. Muggles, Wizards and Mudbloods
Harry and his wizard friends are back in theaters and our learning centers! After completing literacy activities associated with the Harry Potter Half Blood Prince book, 175 kids and volunteers will get the opportunity to watch the Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince movie on July 18th at Dole Cannery courtesy of Prudential Locations Foundation. Thanks Prudential Locations Foundation for being a great community partner in supporting our literacy and teen programs at the annual MOVIE DAY! Festivities will include costume contests, prizes, complimentary movie passes and snack packs. To sign up, contact your local Club. |
Old Navy Slippah Drive
Yields 1,600 Pairs
Thanks to the generosity of Old Navy staff and customers, we collected over 1,600 pairs of slippahs for our keiki! After loading all the boxes, we barley had enough room to drive off. Slippahs will be distributed throughout Oahu and Kauai. |
