Plant of the Week
We have previously featured the plant below, but we still have some in the nuresery that we feel would be great additions to your summer garden.
Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam'
Coreopsis is a vigorous and easy to grow plant with yellow, deep golden, maroon or orange flowers in summer. they grow best in full sun to part shade, good drainage, and occasional water. Coreopsis accept heat, drought and neglect. They are attractive to butterflies and birds. Deadheading promotes rebloom and controls self-sowing. Most are native to the eastern and southern United States. We have an abundant supply of Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam' (Threadleaf Coreopsis) which grows 18" tall and wide and is a perennial with finely divided leaves and light yellow flowers which bloom Summer to Fall. |
