A Personal Note...
Busy as a bee, that's what I am right now. For those who may not know, I am now teaching Continuing Education classes at The Rhode Island School of Design. My current classes are Elements of Interior Design and Practical Color for Designers. Both these classes are open to the general public as well as to those in the Interior Design Studies at RISD. I enjoy meeting and teaching a diverse group of people whose interest range from the simply curious to those looking to make a career change.
Additionally, I have a one-night class scheduled in June on titled,
"Picking the Perfect House Color". There's still room in the class and if you are considering painting your home this season, you won't want to miss this opportunity...Thursday, June 25th.

At this time of year our attention turns to the out-of-doors. You might not think so but now is a great time to plan for those days when summer begins to slip away. Now when the inspiration is fresh and real, and the moment is here is the perfect time to capture the essence of summer for enjoyment all year 'round. Bringing the Outdoors to the Inside~
Ahhh, summer and outdoor living...poolside fun, relaxing on
the deck, barbecues. Here in New England where
I live and in many other places, summer is fleeting. We have but a few precious
weeks each season. Here's how to bring that great summer feeling into your home
all-year 'round!
A majority of my clients when asked what they want to "do"
in their homes for decorating say that they don't know or don't know where to
start. Developing a concept or theme such as "bringing the outdoors in" is a
great way to give structure, meaning and direction to your efforts. Having a
template is a surprisingly easy way to move forward.
