I always look forward to coming to this class-gentle but very powerful .The pain in my lower back has diminished by about eighty-five percent. I leave class with a calm peacefulness that I can see on my face. It helps me to relax and slow down so that I'm not just in reaction mode. I feel better able to be in my life.    Annie Edwards

About 10 years ago I had a biking accident that injured my tailbone. I had to sit on a cushion and an ice pack when I drove. Since doing this yoga I haven't needed either.  I  also had long-term severe emotional stress that released when my body released.    Dee Molner

I am a 911 survivor.  Svaroopaâ Yoga has done more for me than 3 years of therapy.  As I am learning to release the muscles around my spine, I am feeling the release physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.   Michelle Wiley

MicheleMichele Armstrong

Michele Armstrong began her love of physical fitness as a collegiate rower in Philadelphia.  Her training other athletes started soon after when she headed up "Platoon", a military style outdoor fitness program, that utilized the city of Philadelphia particularly the Art Museum area as its 'gym'.  A knee injury lead her to discovering one of the great loves of her life: Yoga.

Michele's appreciation for the incredible physical benefits and tremendous individual growth that developed from her personal practice lead her to become certified to teach. She has enjoyed learning from many teachers including Deiree Rumbaugh, Yoganand Michael Carroll, and Simon Park. Michele finds some of her most inspired moments and yogic insights from her dogs and the dogs she saves from shelters and lists through her foundation, Lulu's Rescue

Michele is humbled and honored to teach yoga and loves sharing in the giving and receiving of knowledge and light that teaching yoga affords.

"Michele Armstrong is a wise, compassionate and intuitive teacher who possesses a comprehensive understanding of both human nature and anatomy.  Under her guidance, I have grown tremendously in my yoga practice, gaining insights, strength and serenity.  I leave each class feeling simultaneously recharged and at peace."

"Michele mentors us to feel it is okay to be where we are, in yoga and in life.  She has a heart full of compassion and love of people (and animals).  She reminds us to live each day of love and mindfulness and she teaches us that our yoga Sangha is such a special part of our existence.  I so look forward to these Saturday mornings."

"Michele Armstrong is, above all, a compassionate teacher who endeavors to encourage and gently motivate all her students, from the most adept to the struggling novice.  I feel I have been transformed by Michele's gentle yet vigorous yoga asanas, her intuitive insights, her humor and her expertise."

jeremiJeremi Dilworth
After graduating from The North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in dance Jeremi began studying yoga with Iyengar veteran Genny Kapuler. She began teaching yoga in 1995 while completing her license in massage therapy.  From her background of classical dance, work in BodyMind centering, and her deep investigation into yoga based on the work of B.K.S. Iyengar and the Alexander technique she has developed an eclectic and specific style of teaching.  She maintains a parallel career in childbirth education and lactation counseling teaching childbirth and parenting classes in New York City, Bucks, and Mercer counties.  As a home-schooling mother of two she is constantly humbled in the pursuit of balance.

"Jeremi is the best yoga teacher ever!! She epitomizes grace in yoga. She's very articulate...the things she says and how she says them in her soft and calming voice make her classes what they are."   Karen Wilson

"I have learned so much about yoga through Jeremi's teachings.  Her classes are challenging, but she's always there to help me through the tough parts.  When I'm finished with her class I feel energized and relaxed.  She's an awesome instructor!   Anonymous

Karin Eisen

I have always had very tight hamstrings. Early on in my yoga practice, I wondered whyKarin they weren't stretching as much as other parts of my body. That is when I began getting very interested in alignment. Like most disciplines, the better the understanding of the underlying structure, the more one can intelligently explore and play.  I hold two (200) hour yoga teacher certifications; one in Power yoga and the other in the Iyengar style. These styles of yoga could not be more diametrically opposed, but put together they combine to make a sweet flowing style of Vinyasa yoga with major attention to alignment.

I am an E-RYT, 200 (Experienced, Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level), registered with Yoga Alliance and have been teaching yoga since January 2001. Before I became a yoga teacher I taught woodworking at Germantown Friends School from 1981 until 1999. My father said I would be a teacher when I grew up.  Teaching has always been my path.

Anna Folmer

After receiving her Power Yoga teacher certification in 1999, Anna's teaching experience broadened from the United States to Singapore (where she taught under a coconut tree) and back.

Her students range from highly athletic, to seniors and those with disabilities. Because of her many travels to India and the first hand understanding of the culture Anna brings a unique sensibility to her teaching.

Her class is the perfect blend of hard and soft.

Anna continues her education by studying various yoga philosophies and attending workshops.

living has completely changed; I'm much more present and I've learned how to

breathe!" Cathie Giambalvo

"Amber is an artistic teacher, one who has mastered the skills, and one who

addresses the needs of the individual. She inspires me with her extensive

knowledge conveyed almost effortlessly. I've reaped the rewards of a peaceful

mind and a stronger body. It's almost magic!" Linda Kenny

"This young Grandmother's body thrives in Amber's yoga classes. My body and

it's many sensitivities are invited to stretch, listen for their limits (not my mind's

limits for them), strengthen, and release. Amber offers useful instructions,

with multiple modifications; there is space and time for my body to adapt.

Amber's knowledge of alignment, asana and flow is very well developed and

assessable. Her presence is awake, alive, and non-judgmental, inviting my breath

and body into a healing and strengthening meditation in motion." Ann Q

Debra Schad
Yoga for me has always been a way to nurture myself, to accept and appreciate who I am. It makes me feel grounded and safe, graceful and strong. Every time I place my foot, extend my body, free my spirit, I am grateful. This is only a fraction of the gift that Yoga has given to me. Yoga has no limits to age, size, or culture.  I love to share my knowledge of Yoga with others. I'm especially drawn to introducing Yoga to women of wisdom (menopausal years).  I want them to experience the magic of cultivating inner peace, mindfulness, and strength. From teaching, I never stop learning. And, beside from being blessed by practicing with many incredible teachers, I am proud to say that I am the first to receive, my Yoga Alliance Registered teacher training through Flip Dog Yoga.

CaitlinCaitlin Swartley

My teaching style since I began teaching in 2002 has been greatly influenced by various workshops and trainings with Baron Baptiste. It wasn't until 2005 however that I discovered my true passion for teaching. After studying with Janice Clarfield at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and receiving my Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certification, I knew I had found my niche. As a new mother myself, I love instructing pregnant women! I enjoy offering guidance and support to expectant mothers as they practice prenatal yoga, helping them to understand and feel joy about the many physical and emotional changes that pregnancy presents.

Whether teaching Vinyasa Yoga, Beginner Yoga or Prenatal, I embrace a gentle and nurturing approach in the studio. My goal is always to provide students with a safe and loving environment.
