Happy Holidays from the staff and Club members at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio
Wishing you every happiness this Holiday Season. Thank you for supporting the mission of BGCSA throughout the year. This year, we celebrated our 70th Anniversary of service in San Antonio. During these 70 years, more than one million local youth received program services and found hope and opportunity in our Club locations.
       
    2009 Highlights Include:
  • BGCSA expanded into 2 new school sites for a total of 5 Club Branches and 15 on-site school locations.
  • We hosted a fantastic Back to School Jamboree & Fashion Show for 300 Club members sponsored by Sole Boutique with school supplies donated by the SA YES Foundation.
  • Hosted 2 successful fundraising events for the Clubs- the Golden Gloves Regional Boxing Tournament in February and the Casino Night & Anniversary Celebration, honoring Richard and Lana Breakie, in November. This summer we also held our first Appreciation Golf Tournament- just to say "thank you" to our top corporate sponsors.
  • 5,800 Club members benefited from youth development programs in Health & Life Skills, The Arts, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, Education & Career Development, and Character & Leadership Development.
