Avalanche Course Wrap Up
This season has been busier then ever with Avalanche Education. In December, January and the first part of February we did our scheduled BC Skills, 3 Avalanche Level 1s, and an Avalanche Level 1 Refresher. However, we had multiple companies contact us for custom Level 1 & Level 2 courses. These included First Ascent, Sun Valley Fire Dept and Greenwoods Ski Haus.
With good snow and some bad weak layers, we had a blast sharing our winter playground. This season we've trained over 75 people and counting.
Our Level 2 from Feb 25-28 wraps up our scheduled avalanche courses, but we are always open and encourage custom avalanche awareness tours.

Guided Skiing

Now that we have slowed down with our avalanche education, we can focus on Guided Backcountry Ski tours again. These can be trips the hut, Galena Pass or the Copper Mountain area.
New this year, weekend getaways to the Sawtooth Hotel can get you the quick powder fix. Stay at the rustic skier owned B&B, eat breakfast, grab your bag lunch and head out for a tour with Sawtooth Mountain Guides. Banner Summit, home of Copper Mountain, holds many other powder stashes which are a 20 min drive from Stanley. More Info Here...

Conditions & Trip Reports
Although the snowpack may be thin in some of Central Idaho, the Sawtooths are looking good, and we've been getting out as much as possible. With another recent foot of snow, things are piling up slowly but surely. Check out our blog to read about recent skiing, trips and conditions...

Open Yurt Dates
Our sought after Williams Peak Hut has just a few openings left for this season. They happen to all fall in the March & April, which is a great time to explore the surrounding area.
For those of you who already have reservations, we are still offering our "burrito deal" guide. This is a 2 day guide, who helps porter gear to the yurt, and skis with your group giving you beta on snow conditions and good terrain. This is a great way to start your trip, so you can know where the stashes are, and get updated on the ski and avalanche conditions.

A Weekend in Stanley...
The Sawtooth Hotel has been seeing a bit more traffic, and for good reason. Centrally located in the Sawtooth Mountain Town of Stanley, its only 1 hour from Ketchum and 2.5 hours from Boise. Folks seem to enjoy the deeper snowpack and good skiing conditions in the Sawtooth.
Interested in a wood fired dining area, sauna, a good breakfast and a day of powder skiing? Come explore the Headwaters of the Salmon River with a guide, with everything from mellow glades to the steep and deep.
