So many of you must have enjoyed all those sunny days we had here in Algonquin Park this summer because our Summer 2011 "Sunny Days" photo contest received more entries than ever before. In total we had 99 people enter a total of 440 photos in this summers photo contest.
It's good to see the popularity of our contest still growing after our 4th year and 11th photo contest. It seems everyone is interested in photography in Algonquin Park more and more each year. Summer Algonquin Park Photo Workshops This summer one of the photographers who has been a regular contestant in our photo contest (Steve Elms) graduated to offering his own two day photo workshops in Algonquin Park. We were pleased to be able to sponsor and support his efforts to bring the joy of photography in Algonquin to more people. Looks like he plans on offering more workshops in 2012 too so be sure to follow his blog.

Our judges were:
Steve Elms * Greg Harrigan * Kerry Hayden

We'd like to thank everyone who took the time to enter our contest. We hope you had fun doing so. I know many people visit our photo contest (over 3200 unique visitors thus far on this contest alone) and enjoy seeing all of your photos from the contest. There's even publishers who visit our contest. Kerry's photo from our last contest was picked up by Sideroads of Muskoka (a local magazine) and used as their cover photo for this springs issue.
