OFFICIAL MEETING NOTICE
Dear SORA Stock Holder and Associate Members:
We will be holding a Membership Meeting on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 7:00pm. at the Shadow Oaks Recreation Association 10502 Westview Drive, Houston Texas 77043. Attendance is extremely important, especially Stockholding Members, as we will be voting on a sustainability plan for the 2009 season.
QUICK FACTS:
SORA is financially in danger of sustaining a complete 2009 swim season.
SORA will positively not sustain without the support of the entire membership.
The Shadow Oaks Dolphins WILL swim the 2009 season.
If you are not a stock holding member, now is the time to buy in so your voice is heard and your vote will count.
IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES:
Monday, April 20 The SORA Treasurer will provide the membership the financial facts via email
Friday, April 24 The SORA Board will provide the membership with our options to sustain or suspend the 2009 season via email
Sunday, April 26 The SORA Secretary will provide the membership a complete meeting agenda via email
Monday, April 27 The SORA Membership Meeting will take place at the SORA facility, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The SORA President will be appointing a special committee to evaluate the re-organization of SORA for a future of sustainability going forward.
This is a critical time in the history of SORA. Our community has changed and so have we. We must come together to rescue our pool or it will not survive. I urge you to attend the meeting on April 27 at 7:00p. I understand we all have very busy schedules, but we are on the verge of losing a cornerstone of our community for over 43 years. The SORA Board has worked tirelessly over the last 6 months, and now is the time for the membership to participate in our future.
