Slow Food Orange County Potluck and General Membership Meeting

Join us for a Slow Food Orange County signature event where you can enjoy the company of other Slow Foodies in a private home while showcasing (and devouring) the products of our renowned culinary abilities. Come meet members of the SFOC Steering Committee, ask questions, and find out how you can become involved.

Join the Slow Food Movement! May is Membership Month for Slow Food USA. Member dues help support Slow Food USA and efforts for GOOD, CLEAN, FAIR food. If you would like to support Slow Food USA by becoming a member during the month of May, our Slow Food Orange County chapter would like express appreciation for your contribution.
We will be hosting a "New" Member Potluck this coming July. All "New" members who register with Slow Food USA during May, will be invited to join the July potluck as guests. What that means is, "New" members will not need to bring a potluck dish, we will cook for you! |
Sunday in the Garden at Park Ave Date: Sunday, May 6th Time: 2 PM- 4:30 PM Location: 11200 Beach Blvd, Stanton Toast summer with sips of wine as we drink in the newly open garden venue, II garage ristorante, at OC top spot, Park Ave. Gracious chef-partner David SIay welcomes us into his verdant kitchen garden, which inspires this menu of just-picked delights designed to pair with an array of wines. Guests will also be treated to a guided tour of the restaurant's garden by head gardener Kathryn Agresto.

Can U Dig It - Tustin Memorial Academy Garden Date: Sunday, May 20 Time: 8am - 2pm Location: 12712 Browning Ave. Santa Ana, CA 92705 Volunteers Needed - Sunday, May 20 8am - 2pm Come help prepare the garden beds for summer planting, make coldframes to use as greenhouses, help with weeding, pruning and repairing fences, irrigation and more. Make sure to bring gloves, a hat and sunscreen, a snack and dring water. |
Green Scene, Fullerton Arboretum
The Green Scene at Fullerton's Arboretum was a great place to get the word out about Slow Food and our local chapter. We signed up a number of people to our newsletter. We hope they will join us at one of our events.
