Greetings!

I wanted to formally reach out and thank each of you for sending your son to Bridgton Academy this fall, and to let you know that I'm excited to have him as part of the 2011-2012 Bridgton Baseball program. We have a great group of young men who have already started coming together as a team this fall, creating a wonderful atmosphere for them to develop as baseball players and individuals. We have quite a group of personalities ranging from outgoing to shy and high-energy to low-key.  Together we have formed the Bridgton Baseball Class of 2012.

We are coming up on the halfway point of our fall schedule, and the guys have already improved tremendously. Although it was only a month ago, the pre-season of two-a-days and Hurricane Irene seems like a distant memory. I'm happy to report that the boys have settled in nicely as a team, and that I'm already starting to recognize changes in your son as we head towards Parents' Weekend. With that being said, I look forward to meeting some of you during next weekend's festivities.

Another purpose of my letter is to introduce you to a program that was new to Bridgton Academy last year, and more specifically, new to our Baseball team. Last year we began a new "Friends of Bridgton Baseball" program, a membership club made up of supporters of our program including past parents, current parents, alumni, and any other fans of Bridgton baseball. The Friends group serves as a booster club for our team, ensuring that our young men have the best experience possible in their year here at BA. In return for being a "Friend of Bridgton Baseball", members receive a bi-annual newsletter (typically in November and March) which provides updates on the team's progress and news from the Baseball program. Each newsletter includes rosters, an upcoming schedule of games, college commitments, player profiles, program development updates, a listing of the Friends of Bridgton Baseball, as well as a letter from the Coach.

In the coming weeks, I will send you a follow-up letter with further information on the Friends of Bridgton Baseball Program. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to be in touch with any thoughts or questions about this program, or our larger baseball efforts! I look forward to assisting your son here on campus this year as a baseball coach, college counselor, and residence hall director for some. Most of all, I strive to be a mentor and supporter of your son, enabling him to gain as much as he can from his year here at Bridgton Academy.

Thank you, and Go Wolverines!

Sincerely,

 Izaryk Sig
