Tom Bishop: Teacher-Assistant Dir of Residential Life-Residence Hall Director (Cleaves Hall) tbishop@bridgtonacademy.org A member of our charter class of 2009 "teaching interns," Tom (a recent UNH grad) made such an impact that he was offered and accepted a permanent position at the Academy where he will bring to bear his full array of talents in both the classroom and as a leader of young men in the realm of residential and student life.
Tim Atwood: Teacher-Assistant Basketball Coach, Residence Hall Director (Sylvester Hall) tbishop@bridgtonacademy.org. Along with Tom Bishop, Tim was a member of our first internship program. His impact was so positive to so many on campus that he has been invited back as a permanent member of the faculty with greatly expanded responsibilities.
Beth Chagrasulis: Science Teacher - bchagrasulis@bridgtonacademy.org
Most recently, teaching at Lake Region HS. Ms. Chagrasulis is a two-time State of Maine "Teacher of the Year". Bridgton Academy is very excited to welcome Beth into our classrooms.
Mark Goodwin: Accounting Specialist - mgoodwin@bridgtonacademy.org
Mark comes to BA from a very successful career in accounting for a major firm in the metro Portland area. BA is attractive to Mark both for the closeness of campus to his family's home in Harrison and for the opportunity for Mark to have the professional growth opportunity to truly grasp and understand the complete picture of running a business.
Deb Kutasi: Human Resources Manager and Business Office Support dkutasi@bridgtonacademy.org. Formerly a key administrator at Lake Region High School, Deb brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, talent, and good spirits to the Business Office.
Michelle Cross: Development Office Clerk - mcross@bridgtonacademy.org
Michelle, formerly an Assistant Librarian at BA, is welcomed back to campus with open arms! Michelle will be in charge of Alumni research, alumni news, and many administrative duties within the department.
Michelle Sturgeon: Registrar and Teacher -msturgeon@bridgtonacademy.org. Michelle comes to Bridgton from the metro Boson area where she had extensive experience as both a fitness and strength consultant. In addition to managing the function of Registrar for the Academy, Michelle will also teach a course in Anatomy & Physiology, leveraging both her educational and professional backgrounds.
Aaron Izaryk: College Counselor and Head Baseball Coach, Res Hall Director (Walker Hall) aizaryk@bridgtonacademy.org. Our baseball program enters an historic phase of opportunity for our students with the appointment of an experienced college coach, Aaron Izaryk of the University of Maine-Orono. UMaine's first ever Academic All-American and three-time All-America East performer, Aaron comes to BA after five years of coaching and managing all aspects of baseball team's academic support program and budget at his alma mater. He will continue to act as manager for the Sanford Mainers of the NECBL summer college wood bat league. Aaron will work in our College Counseling Office under the direction of Kate Winslow.
Alan Ashenfelter: Teacher and Head Soccer Coach, Assistant Res Hall Director (Mass Hall) aashenfelter@bridgtonacademy.org. Alan, a recent Wesleyan University graduate, brings a world of talent and potential to campus, armed with the goal of taking BA soccer to new levels of success in placing well-prepared student-athletes into colleges.
Rich Taylor: SAT Prep Director and Humanities Teacher -rtaylor@bridgtonacademy.org Rich, who worked for BA last year as both a contract employee with Maine SAT Prep (1st semester), and as a part-time teacher (2nd semester), will join us this year as a full-fledged member of our Bridgton Academy Faculty. Rich, who has seamlessly changed careers from that of a practicing attorney to teacher, will continue to direct our fall SAT Prep program, but will also unfold his very talented wings to encompass a full range of courses taught during the spring semester. |
