Greetings!

March has been full of activity here at LCBH.  Hearts for Housing 2010 kicked off the month in style - the turnout was great and all the guests enjoyed the food, drinks, hearts tournament, and of course, the prizes!  We appreciate that many of you, our volunteers, came out to show your support for LCBH by attending this popular annual event.

As the first quarter draws to a close, and warmer weather seems to finally be a reality, we are looking ahead to the always busy spring and summer months.  We realize that your calendars are already starting to fill up, so we are simply asking that you continue to make time for your friends at LCBH!  Please pay attention to the News & Notes section below for information on upcoming events designed to keep your legal muscles toned, and geared towards improving the LCBH network of volunteers.

Please send us your questions and your feedback.  We would love to get more stories from volunteers to add to the newsletter, and we are always open to your ideas to keep moving our Pro Bono Program forward.

AOD in April

Over the past few months, the volunteer turnout for AOD has been strong.  It has been great to see a busy volunteer calendar, and we hope to see it continue into the warmer months ahead.

The following dates are still available in April:  the 6th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th and 28th.  If you wish to sign up for one of these dates, or even one not listed, please send an email to cewing@lcbh.org.

Volunteer of the Month:
Matt Cash

Each month we highlight the varied and valued contributions of our volunteers by naming one person "Volunteer of the Month."  This month, we want to thank and recognize Matt Cash, of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Matt has been an LCBH volunteer for many years and continues to help out with AOD on a regular basis.  He signs up for multiple mornings each month and always shows up ready to dive in and work with clients and opposing counsel.  Matt amicably deals with everyone and seamlessly tackles everything we throw his way.  We appreciate his hard work and never-ending dedication to tenants and LCBH.

Hearts for Housing 2010:
A Great Success!

Thanks to all of you who made it out to Kirkland & Ellis on Friday, March 5th for this evening in support of LCBH.

The large turnout was unprecedented and everyone had a great time.  A big thank you obviously goes to Kirkland & Ellis for hosting, but also to our Development Director Sarah Ryan, our Board Members and event co-chairs, Claire O'Connor and Louis DiSanto, and of course our Board of Directors and Young Professionals' Board for the time and resources they contributed to making the night fun and successful!
