GrantProse, Inc. Newsletter
Vol. 4, No. 8
May 3, 2012
Dear Colleagues,

It's been four years since we began the adventure called GrantProse, Inc.! Thank you for being with us as we find new ways to help you fulfill your funding needs.

In additional to the information you'll find on our website--such as timely Grant Alerts and free resources--our newsletter keeps you informed of upcoming training sessions (see below) and news from the world of grants. Today's featured article describes a resource to estimate the economic impact of grant-funded projects on communities.

We're pleased to announce that we're expanding our successful team of grant professionals. See our "want ad" below. Do you know a good candidate? If so, please pass the word--you may forward this newsletter by clicking "Send to a Colleague" at right.

Thanks for reading. We wish you all success.

Estimating the Impact of Your Project

Insights for you and your organization to plan ahead

Demonstrating need is something grant writers learn with the first proposal they write. But could you demonstrate the impact your project has on the local economy?

The Rural Assistance Center's (RAC) Economic Impact Analysis tool can help show how your grant-funded project benefits your community. Projects disperse money into the community through hiring staff, purchasing supplies and equipment, and other expenses. RAC's tool calculates a summary of impact based on categories of spending, populations you serve and service locations.

RAC is a product of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Rural Initiative. Anyone interested in rural health and human services can register to use the services that RAC provides; to learn more, visit the RAC website.
