Dear Colleagues,

We've had a brief reprieve at GrantProse following a very busy January through May; however, activity is picking up again with a number of large grant projects. And, we are doing our best to keep you informed about new grant opportunities and training opportunities. We hope you will mark our website as a favorite on your computer and return once or twice a month to learn what's new.

As always, thank you for your appreciation of our work.

This spring, GrantProse assisted the Alamance-Burlington School System in developing a proposal for the Elementary and Secondary School Counseling Program (U.S. Department of Education). We're pleased to report that ABSS was awarded a grant of nearly $400,000. ABSS will use the funds for Project ACHIEVE, expanding essential school counseling services at six of its elementary schools. For award details and a list of other awardees, click here.  Congratulations to Alamance-Burlington!

The U.S. Department of Education has proposed 13 priorities for its discretionary grant program in FY2011 and beyond, including improving early learning outcomes, promoting STEM education and promoting diversity. The department is inviting public comment through September 7. To view the notice of proposed priorities and instructions for submitting comments, click here.
