Greetings!

Transformation.  It is starting to become a buzz word throughout the Dan River Region, but what does it mean?  According to Merriam-Webster, the word dates back to the 15th Century and is an act, process or instance of transforming; the operation of changing.

Change - whether or not we like it - is part of life. We will experience it no matter what we do, or don't do. We can fight it, flow with it, or even make it happen. The Danville Regional Foundation is committed to changing the landscape of the Dan River Region into a great place of opportunities for its citizens and visitors. One grant at a time, we are helping make things happen throughout the communities we serve. Of course, this effort only comes from working together towards common goals. It is a result of collaboration.

We are implementing changes in this e-zine (a term for newsletters distributed electronically) and our marketing outreach to better serve you. Our goal is to share our resources and timely news with each of you, your employees, your organizations, and fellow citizens.  We encourage you to join our new Facebook Fan Page, follow us on Twitter, and e-mail us your feedback. Thank each of you for your continued support, collaboration and continued efforts to transform the Dan River Region.

Building a brighter future together,
