Welcome Center Ribbon Cutting

Michael and Valerie Mallick, Congresswoman Kay Granger, Wayne Carson, Emelie Andrews Graham, Judy and Paul Andrews, Julie and Glenn Davidson, and Melisa Schultz

On May 18, the Home Improvements Campaign for the Wichita Street Campus achieved a significant milestone with the dedication and opening of the Paul E. Andrews Family Welcome Center. Paul and Judy Andrews, and their daughter Emelie, were joined by campaign donors, ACH Board members, and friends of ACH to share in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new building.

"ACH is truly honored by the significant gift made by the Paul E. Andrews, Jr. Foundation, which made the construction of this new building possible. Thanks to their support, children and families seeking help in times of crisis have a spacious, child and family-friendly environment when they first come to ACH," said Dr. Wayne Carson, CEO.

The 3,700 square-foot building was designed by Lee Hill, architect with Hahnfeld Hoffer and Stanford of Fort Worth and constructed by Linbeck. The design of the new building complements the other buildings on the campus that were built in the early 1900s.

The Andrews Family Welcome Center houses ACH's Assessment, Intervention and Referral Services (AIRS) staff who field approximately 5,000 calls a year from the community and who serve as the first point of contact for clients. Hours of operation are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for walk-in services, and 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for scheduled assessments and informational meetings. The building is located at 3712 Wichita Street, Fort Worth, TX 76119.

Regional Acceptance Corporation

ACH youth recently enjoyed a trip to the zoo thanks to Regional Acceptance Corporation.

Over the last few weeks, ACH has been fortunate to have the help of some very special groups, including Regional Acceptance Corporation, Chesapeake Midstream Partners, L.P., Bank of America and Paradox Church. Regional Acceptance Corporation has volunteered over 200 hours and helped with painting bedrooms, bringing dinners, and underwriting summer zoo and baseball trips for our kids.

Read more about these great groups and learn about ways you can volunteer to help ACH this summer.
