SUPPORT GROUPS

Padrinos y Madrinas, a support group for Spanish-speaking parents meets the first Saturday of each month. Includes leadership and educational opportunities. Includes childcare, lunch and transportation. Group meets from 12pm to 2pm. Next meeting dates are June 4, July 2, August 6. Click here.

Participant Council, a leadership and support group for English-speaking parents meets the second Saturday of each month. Includes childcare, lunch and transportation. Group meets from 10am to 12pm. Next meeting dates are June 11, July 9, August 13. Click here.

PARENTING SKILLS CLASSES

Families First, an eight-week parenting support program, begins. This session will be held in Spanish. Registration is now open! Next session begins June 23. Click here.

INFORMATION, REFERRALS AND ADVOCACY

Summer Camp and Child Care Referrals are available to help you determine the progran that meets your and your children's needs. We will provide the support necessary to get your children enrolled.

Counseling Referrals are available for family counseling, individual counseling, and marital counseling. We help you identify the different types of counseling available and help you connect to the one that best meets your needs.

Rental and Utility Assistance Referrals are available. We help you determine which resources are available, identify which ones you qualify for, and support you in completing the application.

CHILD AND YOUTH SERVICES

Youth Employment Orientation: Are you between the ages of 16 and 21 in Tarrant County? Do you need your high school diploma or GED, or do you have issues holding you back from getting the job you want? This is your opportunity to help in your education and job opportunities. Offered the third Friday of each month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Summer dates include May 20, June 17, July 15, August 19.

SUPPORT FOR HEALTH INSURANCE AND MEDICAL SERVICES

One-on-One Enrollment Assistance for child or adult health insurance. Applications are available on-site. Referrals for medical services include prenatal care, immunizations, & other services. Call for appointment.

Public Benefits Enrollment, Come learn more about, and APPLY on the spot, for these important services: Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Women's Health Program and Medicaid for the Elderly and People with Disabilities (MEPD). Bring: proof of income; proof of residency; picture ID; current bank statement; birth certificates and social security cards for all children and adults applying for benefits.
