DO YOU KNOW ANYBODY THAT WOULD LIKE TO GET THEIR
TAXES PREPARED FOR FREE?
The Hugh Smith Recreation Center and the East Arlington Family Support Center have partnered with Catholic Charities to offer free on-site tax assistance through the VITA Program.
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program) offers:
- Free tax preparation for taxpayers with an annual income of $50,000 or less
- High quality tax preparation services and all sites are IRS certified as well as the staff and volunteers
- Provides Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) for individuals without social security numbers
- Amends tax returns
- Sites are open from January 15, 2011 through April 14, 2011. Some locations are open year round.
- You will need to bring:
- Tax Information such as W-2s, 1099s, 1098s
- Social Security cards or ITIN letters for you and all persons on your tax return (if you don't have an ITIN, this will be provided on-site)
- Proof of Identity (such as drivers license or other picture ID)
The Hugh Smith Recreation Center VITA Site opens on January 15, 2011.
Days and Hours of VITA Services at Hugh Smith are:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3pm - 8pm
Saturday, 9am - 2pm

SU DECLARACIÓN DE IMPUESTOS GRATIS?
El Centro de Recreación Hugh Smith y el Centro de Apoyo Familiar del Este de Arlington se han unido con Caridades Católicas para ofrecer preparación de impuestos gratis en la comunidad, gracias al programa VITA.
El Programa de Asistencia de Declaración de Impuestos (VITA por sus siglas en ingles) provee:
- Preparación de impuestos gratis para aquellas personas con un ingreso anual de $50,000 o menos.
- Servicios de preparación de impuestos de alta calidad, con una certificación del IRS que aplica a todos los sitios, el personal y los voluntarios
- Los números de identificación del contribuyente individual (ITIN por sus siglas en ingles)
- Correcciones a declaraciones de impuesto
- Los sitios están abiertos a partir del 15 de enero del 2011 hasta el 14 de abril del 2011. Dos sitios estarán abiertos durante todo el año.
- Usted necesitara traer lo siguiente:
- Información de impuestos como las formas W-2, 1099, 1098
- Tarjeta de seguro social O carta del ITIN para usted y todas las personas nombradas en su declaración de impuesto (si no tiene numero de ITIN, recibirá uno al llegar)
- Prueba de identidad (como su licencia de conducir u otra forma de identificación con foto)
El Programa VITA dentro del Centro de Recreación Hugh Smith empieza a recibir gente el 15 de enero del 2011.

Lunes, Miércoles, y Jueves: 3pm - 8pm
