Search Engine Results not what you want... 5 steps for improvement!
| We recently spoke with several clients about their search engine results and have developed our top five strategies for improving these results. If you are not finding yourself where you feel you should be, these are the steps we'll take you through to get you started...
- Make a list of where you think you should come up.
- Use this list to develop a list of key words & phrases you feel your customers or clients might use when searching for you on the web.
- Review your text content... If your key words and phrases are not present repeatedly (at least 3-5 times) in your content... you most likely need to revise your text.
- Check with us... make sure your site is coded and your keywords and phrases are present behind the scenes as appropriate.
- Take a look at who is coming up in the spots you wish to be coming up in and look at their content... identify what's different with your site.
Then give us a call and we'll be happy to work with you to take the next appropriate steps to help you improve your results. Do not be fooled by the many individuals offering a quick or expensive fix with a guarantee of success to fix your issues overnight... Coming Soon - Video Production at Grey Goose Graphics LLC
| We've been hinting, teasing, and avoiding the direct questions for the last two months. It's now official!
On or about the first of May 2011 Grey Goose Graphics will be providing video services to our existing as well as new clients.

The camera gear arrived earlier this month and the software and other hardware is on order and expected to be delivered over the next three weeks. We are headed to Orlando for a conference on digital video acquisition, editing and manipulation. Our team is in place and we will begin the scheduling of video production in April.
We will be focusing on obtaining, editing and producing short videos such as web videos (<3 minutes), 15 & 30 second commercials, and other short video projects for training and education, public information etc. We are pleased to have some highly experienced professionals providing us guidance and education as we launch this program.
We clearly understand many of our clients have had limited options with obtaining quality, low budget video service. We also have not only heard of the poor quality, but witnessed the results of low budget video production by some of the local network affiliates when producing discounted commercials for our clients.
It is our intention to produce a high quality video at a competitive price allowing our smaller clients to have the same video presence as those who have been able to support a larger budget production.
We will continue to work and collaborate with the team at White Knight Productions and use them for projects beyond our capabilities. We have kept them informed of our intentions and plans and view our services as complementary to their offerings.

Marketing 101 - has been redefined.
| Recently we participated in a webinar regarding small business marketing. The purpose of this was to discuss how marketing basics has been redefined by new technology and what many small businesses may be doing today may actually be turning customers away instead of attracting them.
The panel was quick to point out that just because something worked a year ago... it may not be working now and should be evaluated on a regular basis. To us this sounded like common sense, however many participants shared they have had the same yellow page ad for years and do it as a matter of habit and not because it is effective.
Here are a few key points we found interesting that we thought would be worth passing along...
- In a down economy people respond better to a specific savings vs. a percentage savings. Studies have shown that when a product worth $100 was advertised with 25% off vs. $20 off, there was almost 40% more sales with the $20 off vs. 25% or $25 off...
- Most consumers would rather pay a high price for a product or service if it is more convenient than the same product at a bargain price. They want it quicker, they don't want to search a discount rack or area of a store, and they don't want to take the extra steps of filing out a rebate, filing a form, or having to cut upc codes off of packaging, etc.
- Relationships are key to repeat customers. If you establish a connection vs. execute a transaction, a customer is almost 15 times more likely to return as a repeat consumer.
- Recent surveys have shown that 14% or consumers trust or use traditional ads where 78% trust consumer recommendations.
An interesting study was also presented in which over 4 thousand small businesses were surveyed about which tools they felt were the most successful in marketing their business. Here are the results. The numbers reflect the percentage of respondents who using the technology below to promote their business.

Grey Goose Graphics LLC releases new affiliate page!
| When we opened our doors we dedicated an area on our website to list affiliate site with two goals;
- Provide an area for clients, friends and family to go for quick links to some of the best bargains on the web.
- Provide an internal resource for us to improve efficiency by allowing us to have quick links to our many regular vendors from any internet connection
Recently, as a result of the high traffic to these sites from our site, we negotiated with many of these vendors to provide us with a small referral fee or transaction percentage to further support the bottom line of the company. We have always believed in full disclosure with our clients and would like to take a few minutes to address our philosophy regarding this program.
First - This was something that evolved without specific plan or intent. We are taking advantage of this opportunity and hope it will lead to others.
Second - Although we now have more formal relationships with these companies, rest assured we do not choose products, use vendors, etc. based on these referral fees or commissions. Since day one we have, and will continue to look for the best solutions available with the intent of maximizing the return on investment of our clients, friends and our studio.
Lastly - While we do not anticipate the income from this program to be significant, we anticipate using it to offset the increase in many of or daily expenses, especially fuel as we travel from client to client and hope that it will prevent us from having to pass these additional expenses to our clients as additional fees or surcharges.

| LAST MINUTE REMINDER!
We will be out of the office attending Photo Shop World 2011 in Orlando, March 28 - April 3, 2011.
While there will be some administrative tasks and other activities occurring at the office during this interval, as we are taking our design team with us, we will not be performing any site work during this time period. We will remain available via Blackberries and have some limited phone availability should you need to contact us during this time.
We will have extending hours both the week prior and the week following the conference. Please mark your calendars and plan your updates accordingly.
