Steve is writing a blog about health,fitness and pain relief from a different perspective. You will also find a discussion about the medical system in the U.S. (a hot topic these days) and suggestions and thoughts on how you can get the care you need in our system.

If you have never had a treatment at the spa your first massage is only $49. If you have been in before you still save $20. Your massages are only $69 - no limit.

Tips and Ideas to Make your Visit Even Better
Try a different therapist - All of our therapists are great! Each one has a different technique or specialty. Try someone new and see what else is available to you at the spa. We can help you choose. Whether you want a super relaxing massage, a deep tissue massage or an exotic Hawaiian massage we have a therapist for that!
Allow Enough Time - Make your treatment as relaxing as possible - arrive early and take a few minutes to relax. Nothing is more stressful than being late for a relaxing treatment. It starts everyone off on the wrong foot. Take a shower after your treatment. If you haven't tried the shower yet, it is an experience all in itself! Allow time after the treatment to sit in the lounge and relax for a few minutes. Have a snack or a cup of tea and just savor the moment - you deserve it!
Online Scheduler - You can use our online scheduler 24 hours a day to request appointments. The online scheduler shows you your previous visits, the therapists you had in the past, any credits in your account, etc. You can browse through available appointments at your leisure and choose the one that best suits you. When you submit the appointment request you will also have the opportunity to type in any comments or special requests. Test out the online scheduler here.
What to Wear - The most common choice is to take everything off and get comfortable in the nice soft robe! Most massages can be performed more effectively if you do not wear any clothing. You will always be draped professionally during your treatment. Of course, you can leave underwear or other clothing on, however, it will in some cases interfere with your treatment slightly. If you want more guidance, download our What to Wear information sheet.
Bolster or No Bolster - With most massages we place a bolster under your knees (face up) and ankles (face down) for your comfort during the treatment. This is purely for your comfort. Some clients prefer to not use the bolster at all. If you do not want a bolster during your massage, or only want it when you are face up or face down, just let the therapist know.
Hair Dryer, Shower Caps, and Combs - Yes we have them! If you would like to use any of these items just ask anyone at the spa. If there is anything else you think we should have, just let us know.
Too Hot or Too Cold - If you are ever too warm or too cool during your treatment please let the therapist know. If you are too warm your therapist can remove your blanket leaving only the sheet and/or can turn on a small room fan to circulate the air. If you are too cool we can give you a second blanket and/or turn on a portable heater. Temperature is a personal preference and there is no way for us to set the perfect temperature for everyone (in our surveys we have as many clients comment that they were too cool as comment that they were too warm, even on the same day in the same treatment room!). Please let us know your preference. We want to make you as comfortable as possible.
Choose your own music - Each treatment room except the facial room (coming soon) has its own iPod and speakers. Click here see a list or our selection of music. If you would like a certain track played during your treatment just let the therapist know. He or she will put on any music you wish and can adjust the volume to your preferences. Bring your own iPod and we will be happy to play your music for you (no adult music!).
No Robe, No Problem - We provide robes and sandals as a convenience to you and to provide a more relaxing experience. However, sometimes it may be more convenient or relaxing to just skip the robe so you can get in and out quicker. If you would rather just get changed in the treatment room just let us know when you make your appointment or when you arrive.
