Aleksandra Hosts First Book Signing 
On May 21, Aleksandra Efimova signed the first official copies of The Sleeping Beauty Ballet by Aleksandrasm at a performance of Sleeping Beauty by the Joffrey Ballet's Academy of Dance. Children loved coloring in characters from Sleeping Beauty, and they couldn't wait to tell Aleksandra about how much they love ballet as they got their very own copy of the book. Read more > |

'Kids Corner' Added to Russian Pointe Dance Boutique
Aspiring ballerinas will be enthralled with the new kids section at the Russian Pointe Dance Boutique. Growing Through Arts™ To Appear at Trade Show
This summer, Growing Through Arts™ will be on the road attending our first trade show in New York City! Look for us at Children's Club, held at Pier 94 from July 31 to Aug. 2. Open to the public, this trade show features everything from children's and babies fashion to children's gift items, art, and toys. There will also be free family activities, demonstrations, prize drawings and more. Hope to see you there!

Molly Beck Joins Russian Pointe Business Development Team
Molly Beck, formerly in customer service at Russian Pointe, has joined the company's business development team. A native of St. Louis, MO, Molly started dancing at age 3 and has studied ballet, tap, and jazz. She majored in dance management at the School of American Dance and Arts Management at Oklahoma City University and has worked in the finance department for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Molly is looking forward to meeting and building relationships with many Russian Pointe retailers!

Courtney May Promoted to Boutique Assistant Manager
Courtney May, an experienced professional dancer, is pleased to be promoted to Assistant Manager of the Russian Pointe Dance Boutique. Originally from Ashland, Ky., Courtney studied ballet, tap, and jazz at the Ashland Regional Dance Theatre and receive her BFA in Arts Management and Dance from Brenau University. She has danced professionally with the Gainesville Ballet and the Jeslyn Dance Gallery, where she served as ballet mistress. Courtney is excited to continue to help dancers find the perfect shoes and accessories at the Russian Pointe Dance Boutique.

Aleksandra Attends Joffrey Spring Gala Fundraiser

The Joffrey Ballet never does anything small, least of all their annual fundraiser. The April 29 event began with a performance at the Auditorium Theatre in downtown Chicago, followed by dinner and dancing at the Palmer House Hilton. Aleksandra said one of the highlights of this year's event was meeting the new Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who is a passionate supporter of the arts in Chicago. Read more > |
