Russian Pointe
There have been rumors that the Russian Pointe factory in Moscow was no longer operational due to a fire. This is totally erroneous information. The factory is fully operational and we are pleased to say we are seeing an increase in their production capacity!

Russian Culture Now Hosts
Reception for Boris Eifman 
More than 150 esteemed guests attended a sparkling pre-performance reception for choreographer Boris Eifman at the Russian Pointe Dance Boutique on April 23. Mr. Eifman spoke to the guests about the privilege of bringing his company back to Chicago to perform. Five of the student winners of the Russian Culture Now Scholarship Awards also received a plaque, had their photo taken with Mr. Eifman, and were special guests at his company's performance at the Auditorium Theatre. Aleksandra to Sign Copies of
Sleeping Beauty
Aleksandra Efimova will be signing copies of The Sleeping Beauty Ballet by AleksandraSM on May 21 at the 2 p.m. performance of Sleeping Beauty by the Joffrey Ballet's Academy of Dance. Illustrations from the book will be incorporated into the show, and the books will be available for purchase at all five performances from May 20-22. View event > |

Pointe Shoe Fitting Seminar
Dance retailers from Allegro Dance  Boutique in Evanston, IL, and Blades to Ballet in Rochester, MN, attended a comprehensive Pointe Shoe Fitting Seminar at the Russian Pointe Dance Boutique in Chicago from April 2 to 3. All attendees were encouraged to try the shoes on for themselves so they could experience the difference in Russian Pointe's various makes and models to help them feel more confident in recommending the right shoe for each dancer. Simply Miles
Russian Pointe Accounting Manager Sasha Danilishen attended River North Dance Chicago's performance of Simply Miles, Simply Us, set to the music of Miles Davis, at the Auditorium Theatre on April 16. This world-premiere piece, created by River North Artistic Director Frank Chaves, was specifically commissioned by the Auditorium Theatre on the 85th anniversary of Miles Davis' birth.
