VITA Tax Prep
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), a national program, selected GRACE as a mobile site to provide free Income Tax Preparation Assistance to low-income, elderly and/or disabled people. Help through Hard Times

"I want to let you know how GRACE has helped me and how blessed and honored I am for your assistance.
I am actually one of those people who has given to GRACE from its inception.
This fall, I had been without a job, even a temporary one, for so long that my funds were becoming depleted. I applied for unemployment benefits through the Texas WorkForce Commission, then applied to GRACE.
All of the GRACE personnel that I have encountered have been outstanding. I have never been made to feel undeserving. Some sensed that it was a struggle for me to ask for assistance. Many assured me that since I am eligible and since I had helped before, that I should accept help now. There are some names that I can't recall, however I wanted to name the ones I can remember: Cindy, Vicki, Laura, Bea, Judy, Christine and all of the GRACE pantry volunteers who have assisted me. I appreciated the wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys and of course the Christmas Cottage.
Cindy Gayle has been my caseworker throughout most of my assistance appointments. She has gone above and beyond to help me or refer me on to others. She helped me understand as I had questions, sent me to the pantry and to Graceful Buys when I needed things and even referred me to the Christmas Cottage. I wanted you to know that she has made a difference in my life, and I appreciate her. I know God provides for His Children, but I also know that without GRACE, there would have been some gaps. I believe that God used Cindy and GRACE to make His provisions and meet my needs." -Peggy, GRACE Client
