Welcome to the Christmas Cottage
Santa at Christmas Cottage
Santa made a special appearance at the GRACE Christmas Cottage to greet boys and girls who gave toys for other boys and girls in need this Tuesday night.

For those who are new to GRACE (or those who have been a part of GRACE for years), the Christmas Cottage is a real treat.

According to Seasonal Program Manager Lori Stevens, the goal of the cottage is to fulfill Christmas wishes. Struggling families who would otherwise not be able to provide toys and other treats at Christmas are able to visit and shop for their own children. Over 2,000 children will be served this Christmas.

Each family is given a specific dollar amount to "spend" on their children, and they are each assigned a volunteer to locate the perfect set of Legos or for a specific baby doll. Parents arrive expecting to walk away with only a handful of toys. Many break out in tears when they realize that they will receive an abundance of toys and even Christmas supplies like wrapping paper and batteries so that they can provide a merry Christmas for their children.

GRACE would like to thank the many people who contributed to the Christmas Cottage including Sharon Cherry, Sabra Hook, Ann Lee, Rachel Lozano, Judy Southerland, Pam Goldmann, Al Springer, Ron Binion and Marsha French. Several student groups also contributed their time including GCISD schools, Faith Christian, National Charity League and Young Men's Service League groups.

Chamber Open House

Over 100 GRACE staff and visitors from businesses in the Northeast Tarrant County area celebrated the Christmas Cottage opening last night. Visitors explored the cottage, dropped off toys and learned more about how they can volunteer and contribute to GRACE. Thanks for your Support!

We at GRACE would like to say a special thanks to the following businesses who have either promoted GRACE or provided incentives to their customers for donating canned goods to the GRACE Pantry in the recent version of The Quarterly Magazine distributed throughout our service area. Please visit these businesses and help express our thanks.

As a steward of God's blessings and resources in our community,

GRACE demonstrates compassion for those less fortunate by providing assistance

to individuals and families in crisis and guidance towards self-sufficiency.
