Upcoming Holiday Events

There are SO MANY ways to celebrate the holidays with your friends at GRACE. We hope you will attend and show your support for the GRACE Christmas Cottage and holiday food distribution this Christmas. At our final count, roughly $30,000 worth of Thanksgiving meals were distributed to families at the GRACE Pantry. We want to do the same for Christmas! Please contact Rusty Thigpen or Jack Yarnell if you would like to hold a food drive at your school, church or business.

Breakfast with Santa: Saturday, December 3rd from 7-11 AM at the Colleyville Center. This event is sponsored by the Colleyville Lions Club, and they ask you to bring either a can of food for GRACE or an old pair of eyeglasses to donate.

Christmas Cottage Children's Open House: Tuesday, December 6 from 4-6 PM. All families are invited. Come experience the magic and awe of the Christmas season through your child's eyes! A very special guest from the North Pole will visit!

Chamber Open House: December 7 at the Christmas Cottage from 5:30-7:30. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be provided by GRACE. Please email Laura Schmidt or call at 817-488-7009 ext. 104 to RSVP. We need to know attendees for this as soon as possible!

WFAA Toy Drive: December 8 from 5-10 PM at the Cotton Belt Railroad District, 701 Main St. Bring a toy to benefit the GRACE Christmas Cottage!

Christmas Cottage Opening Night: December 8 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.

*The GRACE Christmas Cottage is located at 2845 Exchange Boulevard, Ste. 300 in Southlake and is sponsored by Park Place Lexus. Hope to see you there!

Giving Kids Of All Ages

kids gifts

Some of our most favorite people who give to GRACE are  children. We have so much to learn from children (and their parents!) about their natural joy and willingness to help others.

Kylee and Kade Kozier (above) dropped off a $500 check with their mom at Donation Station. Also, this little boy pictured to the right is off to an early start since his family collected food for his first birthday. Way to start them off right, Mom and Dad!

New Angel in Heaven

Hartnett angelWith great sadness we must report that Steven Harnett has lost his battle with cancer this past week.

Mr. Hartnett and his wife Sandy have been integral supporters of GRACE for years, and they were last year's Angels of GRACE, an award we present for outstanding dedication to the GRACE mission. Words cannot express how Mr. Hartnett's life has touched the lives of so many in our community.

A memorial for Mr. Hartnett will be held at Hurst Convention Center at 1601 Campus Dr. Hurst, TX 76054 on Sunday, December 4 beginning at 2:30 PM.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Hartnett's family at this difficult time.

As a steward of God's blessings and resources in our community,

GRACE demonstrates compassion for those less fortunate by providing assistance

to individuals and families in crisis and guidance towards self-sufficiency.
