Turkey Pickup at the Pantry
 |
Youth from Argyle transported dozens of turkeys from the GRACE Pantry freezer. |
Over 300 families picked up turkeys and all the fixings for a holiday meal this past Monday. Thanks to the generous contributions of churches, over $15,000 worth of goods were distributed to needy familes in Grapevine. Clients passed through the GRACE pantry parking lot as volunteers kept the turkeys coming from the GRACE Pantry freezer.
Many volunteers including a youth group based in Argyle dedicated a day of their Thanksgiving vacation to help out. Thank you to all who gave our clients much to be thankful for this holiday season. View slides of the Pantry Pickup here.
The pantry still needs donations! If your church or group is interested in holding a holiday food drive, please see the attached list of most needed items. |
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
On Tuesday, December 6 from 4-6, GRACE will host a special open house for volunteer kids.
"Hundreds of children live out the GRACE mission throughout the year at our sites. We want to share the spirit of the season at a special open house just for them," says GRACE Executive Director Shonda Schaefer.
Santa himself will be there to take Christmas toy orders from all who attend. Bring the kids to see the Christmas Cottage and to enjoy holiday goodies as we celebrate the blessings of the year! |
