A MESSAGE FROM RAV FELDER SHLITA REGARDING THE GRAVE SITUATION IN ERETZ YISRAEL As we all are aware, the situation in Eretz Yisrael is very serious, as Klal Yisrael once again finds itself threatened by enemies, led my a modern day Haman, whose goal is Klal Yisrael's demise, Rachmana Litzlan. In addition, many Gedolei Yisrael need an urgent and speedy refuah, while in our own community there are many who need Yeshuos, Refuos Venechamos, Hashem Yerachem. At such a time, we look to Gedolei Yisrael Shlita for guidance and direction. Recently, HaRav HaGaon Rav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita publicized a course of action for every Jew to help bring an extra measure of Rachmei Shomayim and Siyata DeShemaya at this time: - One should set aside time daily for Torah study and strictly adhere to it.
- Each shiur should devote 5 minutes at the end of the shiur to learn Mussar.
- One should make sure to arrive to shul on time for the beginning of davening
- One should make a special effort to daven for others.
In response to Rav Kanievsky's call, I would encourage everyone to make their best efforts to comply with the above suggestions. The shul will facilitate this in the following ways: - Set Times for Torah: If you do not yet have a set time for learning, please speak to Rabbi Simon, Yaakov Gottlieb or myself to arrange a chavrusa or suggest an appropriate shiur to attend.
- Five Minute Mussar Shiurim have been arranged at 6:40 am in the Marder BM (Rabbi Bornstein) and at 6:45 am in the Reiter BM (Yaakov Gottlieb). All are welcome to join. This will continue at least until Rosh Chodesh Nissan.
- Shiurim: Other magiddei shiur are encouraged, in consultation with the shiur participants, to set aside time for learning a sefer mussar at least until Rosh Chodesh Nissan.
In the merit of each of us strengthening our Torah learning and davening, may Hashem spare Klal Yisrael from Chevlei Moshiach and speedily bring the complete redemption BB"A. |
