Employee Spotlight

 Janet Jones

Janet Jones

This month Assisting Angels Home Care would like to recognize the outstanding efforts of Janet Jones. Janet has shown dedication and excellence since joining Assisting Angels in September 2010. Although she joined our team only one year ago, Janet has eight years previousexperience in the caregiving profession.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Janet was married there and had eight sons and three daughters for a total of eleven children. Not all of her children have remained in Idaho; some reside in Chicago and Phoenix. Janet now has five wonderful grandchildren who she loves spending time with.

Janet and her husband enjoy their country-style farm home setting on the river in Garden Valley, where she enjoys her many cats and the herd of elk that thrive in the meadow. She enjoys winding down on the acreage against the backdrop of trees and mountains.

Janet says the part of the job that she loves the most are the clients. She enjoys making new life-long friends that eventually become family. She enjoys making their lives the best she possibly can. Caregiving is not a job to her; it is simply a way of life. She enjoyed it in Minnesota, so naturally when she arrived here and a friend's wife had mentioned Assisting Angels Home Care, it was a perfect fit.

This month we have the spotlight on Janet for her ability to care and nurture in a way that is truly unique and invaluable. It is truly impressive to see that an individual can be so generous with her time and caring toward others. Raising eleven children and spending her days making other people's lives just that much better is Janet's legacy.

Thanks Janet for doing an excellent job!

Practice makes perfect!

Daniel Shanahan

Hello to all, hope your summer is going well. I know mine is!  Don't we all just love our clients, and all the wonderful interesting stories they have told us. But I would also like to remind everyone that we need to be professional in how we handle personal information. As health care professionals, we are governed by very strict privacy rules of HIPAA.

How many of you remember how to wash your hands? Practice makes perfect. Disease and infection control is also part of our job. A clean home is a healthy home, and a neat and tidy home can prevent falls and injuries. We all just need to remember the basics. Each thing we learn as health care workers allows us to add to our building blocks of knowledge and provide a better living environment for the client we all love to serve.

Ongoing training- videos are available at the office Monday-Friday  (8:00am-5:00pm)

for your convenience, call the office and schedule a time. Let us help you! By adding to your building blocks of knowledge and make you a (success).

Thank You,

Daniel Shanahan
