COUNSELING OFFICE
Internet Safety Seminar for ParentsYoung people today are smarter than ever about many things; but when it comes to technology safety, they can be frighteningly naïve. How can parents protect their children's safety and privacy? What should parents know about cyberbullying, sexting, Facebook, Twitter, and texting?
Next Monday night, August 27, at 6:30, Harding Academy invites you to hear our special guest, Deb Ireland, Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee. Ms. Ireland works with the Department of Justice initiative called Project Safe Childhood, which aims to combat technology-facilitated sexual exploitation crimes against children. She will share information that every parent must know.
Note: Ms. Ireland will present to Harding Academy parents on August 27, 2012. This session is intended for parents only. On August 28, Ms. Ireland will present to students in grades 7-12 during a special morning assembly. Coordinated by the Upper School Counseling Office For more information, contact the counseling office at 763-3280.
