Dear Harding Families,

Did you know that this summer we are making one of the largest investments in technology in Harding's sixty year history?  This $230,000 infrastructure upgrade project is designed to accomplish the following objectives:
  • Removal of abandoned, sub-code cabling
  • Replacement of all sub-gigabit cabling with gigabit-capable cable
  • Installation of robust, scaleable wireless capability at all campuses
  • Replacement of all tier-3 circuits with higher capacity tier-1 circuits 
While these improvements hold no aesthetic value, they will definitely have an impact on every child's education.  The expansion of our information superhighway and installation of wireless access at all locations now enables us to explore meaningful integration of technology in our classrooms.  We have successfully laid the kind of foundation that will support the use of more technology in the future.  I am thankful for Doug Pinkerton and our technology department for their efforts to complete this project over the summer.
